Copyright & DMCA notice
How we handle intellectual property rights and the process for submitting copyright claims.
What this site contains
Heardle Unlimited contains the following elements that reference third-party intellectual property:
- Artist names, song titles, and album names used in the game database
- Genre classifications and decade associations for each song
- Audio approximations synthesized client-side using the Web Audio API
Fair use explanation
Every audio clip on this site is synthesized in real time by your browser. These are not recordings. They are musical approximations generated from analysis data including chord progressions, filter settings, and timing information. The Web Audio API builds these approximations locally on your device.
This falls under fair use because:
- The audio is transformative: it recreates musical ideas through synthesis, not reproduction
- The purpose is educational and commentary: players identify songs through ear training
- No original recording is copied, distributed, or streamed
- No market harm: this is a free game that does not replace or compete with the original songs or their commercial availability
Trademark notice
All artist names, song titles, album names, and associated artwork referenced on this site are trademarks and/or registered trademarks of their respective owners. Their use on this site is for identification and trivia purposes only. Heardle Unlimited is not affiliated with any record label, artist, or music publisher.
